If you start using a database application or intend to migrate to Notion then we can help you get started.

WHY DO YOU NEED TO CREATE CUSTOM TEMPLATE IN NOTION

The Notion repository templates are popular templates for a lot of users. However, with different uses and management habits, you may want to create your own Template for yourself.

Suppose you want to keep track of daily tasks, create a to-do list at the beginning of the week or create a Financial Tracking Template according to your needs, we think you should create yourself a Template by Custom Template button in Comments.

HOW DOES A CUSTOM TEMPLATE IN THE NOTION USE TEMPLATE BUTTON?

I use the template every week, so it’s impractical to change patterns continually. So I created a Custom Template with these steps:

Step 1: Import a template you like from the template library and make the necessary changes to it.

Step 2: Create a new page in Notion and give it a suitable title.

Step 3: Type ‘/ template’ and Notion will let you create a Custom Template button.

Step 4: The software will open ‘Configure pattern button’ box.

Step 5: Please add a relevant name for the Template button.

Step 6: Now you need to add the blocks you want anywhere on the Template page.

Step 7: By default, it is set as the To-Do button. Click the six-dot menu and delete it.

Step 8: From the Notion sidebar, drag the template to the template button.

Step 9: Press the ‘Close’ button and now the pattern button is ready to use.

This way you can create any Template in Caption with just one click. I also created a Template for my Monthly Personal Finances.

You can also create Template buttons for common operations. I’ve seen Notion users use the To-do button to quickly create daily tasks.

HOW TO CORRECT OR DELETE THE SMALL BUTTON

Notion support for changing the Template button name and content. When necessary, you can make changes to them or even delete them if not needed.

Move the mouse to the Pattern button, select the small ‘Settings’ icon at the bottom of the Pattern button. Then there will be pop-up dialog to change Template button name and blocks for it.

You can also use the six-dot menu and remove the Pattern button entirely. Don’t worry, though, it will only remove the template button and won’t make any changes to the existing templates.
